JetBrains makes IntelliJ IDEA’s free features available for both non-commercial and commercial use.
Download and Install IntelliJ IDEA
Section titled “Download and Install IntelliJ IDEA”-
Follow the instructions from the download page to install IntelliJ IDEA for your system using the method of your choice

Launch IntelliJ IDEA
Install the Plugin
Section titled “Install the Plugin”-
Open Settings and navigate to Plugins > Marketplace

Search for Mermaid Studio Core (free) or Mermaid Studio (paid) and click Install

Restart the IDE when prompted

Activate a License (optional for Core)
Section titled “Activate a License (optional for Core)”Mermaid Studio Core works immediately with free features. To unlock paid features, purchase a Core license and activate it:

Go to Settings > Plugins > Installed

Find Mermaid Studio Core and click the license/gear icon

Choose Subscription and sign in to your JetBrains account
Mermaid Studio requires a license. You’ll be prompted on first use:

Choose Start trial or Paid License

If using a paid license, select the license type (typically Subscription)

Sign in to your JetBrains account, or create one if you don’t have one yet

Complete the activation process
A JetBrains account is required for trial and license activation.
